The position will collaborate closely with senior management and business units to assess relevant public policy impacts and opportunities and to assist in developing strategies to protect and advance the organization's business interests. The manager will cultivate and maintain relationships with key U.S. federal and state government officials and their staff as needed. An ideal candidate should possess extensive policy experience and a strong understanding of consumer financial services and small business issues, along with knowledge of various federal and state regulatory processes, including those related to the CFPB and the Treasury Department. Candidates must be able to quickly analyze information and succinctly distill and explain complex policy issues to internal and external audiences. Exceptional written communication skills are required. The manager will also represent the organization before trade associations, coalitions, and other stakeholders.
