About The Position

The Urology Nurse Practitioner (NP) position at West Georgia Urology offers a unique opportunity to provide both inpatient and outpatient clinical services. The NP will perform patient evaluations, assessments, and treatments under the supervision of a medical director, collaborating closely with clinic staff, hospital departments, and community agencies to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.
• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia.
• Georgia Nurse Practitioner License and Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse or Multistate Nursing License.
• Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification.
• Six months of related experience in a clinical setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff and various populations.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and meet credentialing criteria.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification recommended; additional certification may be required for some specialties (i.e. ACLS, PALS).
• Prior experience in a similar specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives and demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Communicates effectively with patients and management regarding service recovery opportunities.
• Performs evaluations, provides treatment, and counsels patients.
• Orders and interprets test results and recommends treatment for patients.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and prescribes therapy or medication with physician approval.
• Assists physicians during surgery or complicated medical procedures.
• Maintains evidence-based medical care and clinical charting.
• Integrates with clinical and administrative teams to administer high-quality care.
• Participates in the training and skills development of new clinical staff.
