About The Position

The Fargo VA Health Care System is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urology Physician to provide onsite services to Veterans. This role involves approximately 90% direct patient care, including evaluation, treatment, and surgical procedures in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Requirements

• Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology (ABU).
• Successful completion of an approved residency program in Urology, with at least 3 years devoted to Urological surgery.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and DEA certifications are required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in a urological outpatient clinic, perform inpatient rounds, and manage consultations.
• Perform various urological surgeries including cystoscopies, vasectomies, scrotal surgeries, ureteroscopies, and transurethral surgeries for prostate disease and bladder cancer.
• Provide basic general urological care.
• Coordinate referrals to consultants when necessary and communicate critical test results to patients and providers.
• Maintain timely and accurate medical records and participate in quality management measures such as peer reviews and patient satisfaction surveys.
