About The Position

Urology Assignment Length: Ongoing coverage need Start Date: As soon as credentialed Openings: 1 Reason for Coverage: Long-term permanent search Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic and call coverage Clinic coverage Monday-Friday, 8:30a-3:30p Average 15-25 PPD Call coverage 24-hour shifts Average 1-4 calls per night Level III trauma center 380-beds Schedule: Part-time coverage 1-week per month June 22-26, July 6-12 Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric EMR: EPIC Credentialing: 90-120 days

Requirements

Active Pennsylvania licensure
Board certification
Minimum 2-years Urology experience or equivalent
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
Board certification in Urology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA
While specific requirements may vary, most locum physician positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Fellowship training in Urology (may be preferred depending on the position)

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat a wide range of system disorders in adults and potentially children (depending on the position)
Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, CT scans and blood tests
Perform procedures to diagnose and treat digestive conditions (depending on the scope of practice)
Develop and implement treatment plans
Manage chronic digestive conditions and provide ongoing patient care
Collaborate with other specialists when needed to ensure coordinated care
Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients
Stay current on the latest advancements in specialty through continuing education
