About The Position

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a fellowship-trained academic urogynecologist for a full-time clinical position within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, specifically in the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. This role is designed for an Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series, focusing on providing exceptional clinical and surgical care to a diverse patient population while also engaging in research and education.

Requirements

  • Completion of a 4-year ACGME accredited OB-GYN residency.
  • Completion of a 3-year accredited fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery.
  • Experience in the evaluation and management of pelvic floor disorders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with robotic/laparoscopic and vaginal surgical techniques.
  • Familiarity with office procedures related to urogynecology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient and surgical care for patients with pelvic floor disorders.
  • Evaluate and manage conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and genitourinary fistulae.
  • Perform complex urodynamic studies and diagnostic procedures including cystoscopy and urethral bulking injections.
  • Conduct research and collaborate with basic and translational scientists across multiple disciplines.
  • Engage in educational activities and mentorship within the department.
