About The Position

Stillwater Urology Specialists is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in urodynamic testing. The urodynamic LPN will assist in preparing patients, operating urodynamic equipment, collecting data during procedures, and providing patient education related to bladder function and urinary issues, all under the supervision of a healthcare provider. Key responsibilities include patient intake, vital sign monitoring, catheter insertion, data recording, and ensuring proper equipment function during urodynamic studies.

Requirements

• License to practice as LPN in the state of Oklahoma
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Previous demonstrated clinical experience in the physician practice setting preferred
• Understanding of the ethics of confidentiality and HIPAA regulatory requirements
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
• Current CPR card or completion of course within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Urology experience
• Knowledge of lower urinary tract, anorectal anatomy, urodynamic procedures & equipment
• Catheterization skills

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Urodynamics, Video Urodynamics & other advanced diagnostic evaluations
• Assist with patient intake and vital sign monitoring
• Insert catheters and record urodynamic parameters like bladder pressure, flow rate, & sphincter activity
• Explain the urodynamic procedure to patients
• Set up the urodynamic machine, calibrate instruments & ensure proper functionality of catheters, electrodes, & other necessary equipment
• Complete all patient documentation and charges accurately and timely
• Facilitate communication between back office and front office processes
