About The Position
The Google Cloud Platform Engineer role is a critical position that involves leading complex technology cloud initiatives with a broad impact across the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and the ability to automate provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The engineer will be responsible for developing standards and best practices for engineering large-scale technology solutions, ensuring that the cloud platform is optimized and well-documented. In this role, the engineer will lead discussions on industry best practices and how emerging technologies can influence the cloud technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives. The engineer will also review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions in the cloud, aligning them with strategic business objectives and addressing technical challenges that require thorough evaluation of various parameters. Collaboration is key, as the engineer will work closely with technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve project goals. The engineer will build and enable cloud infrastructure, automating orchestration for Google Cloud Platform specifically for Wells Fargo Enterprise. This role involves working within a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust cloud-centric solutions. The engineer will also collaborate with product teams and vendors to develop and deploy cloud services that meet customer expectations, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of cloud-based systems. Additionally, the engineer will gather and analyze data to diagnose the root causes of cloud issues, recommending and implementing timely solutions to resolve these issues.
