About The Position

Join our team as a Weekend Overnight Caregiver for a 12-hour shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about providing compassionate care and support to our clients during their overnight hours. Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or have relevant experience as a non-licensed caregiver.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekends.
  • Compassionate and dedicated to providing quality care to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain vital signs, record them, and notify the office of deviations according to standard practice.
  • Assist with personal hygiene including bathing, grooming, dressing, hair care, shaving, deodorant application, skin care, foot care, and ear care.
  • Change bed linens and make the bed.
  • Assist with eating and maintaining adequate nutrition and fluid intake when appropriate.
  • Assist with ambulation and transfers, including helping patients to the toilet/commode, with bedpans, and with other transfers and positional needs.
  • Perform incidental household services essential to patient health care, such as light housekeeping, straightening rooms, and laundry.
  • Provide medication reminders.
  • Understand and apply basic infection control principles and procedures, and contact the supervisor with any concerns related to infection control.
  • Follow the Plan of Care as instructed by the Agency's health care professional.
  • Document appropriately according to the Plan of Care and submit all documentation per agency policy.
  • Observe physical and gross behavioral changes in the patient's condition or family situation and report to the office.
  • Follow the visit schedule and indicate changes in the schedule as appropriate.
  • Promptly contact patients and the office whenever unable to visit a patient as scheduled and provide a full report concerning patient care and visit times.
  • Communicate appropriately with patient/family and Agency personnel.
  • Attend required in-services and meetings as identified by the Agency, including 12 hours of in-service per year.
  • Adhere to the Agency's Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities as indicated.
