About The Position

Greet patients and determine nature of the visit; prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by provider Compensation Pay Range: $25.25 - $35.36 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Maintain patient's safe passage in and out of the practice • Greet, assess and interview patients • Obtain past medical and surgical history, family history, social history, vital signs • Review present medications, allergy history, chief complaint • Prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by provider • Anticipate needs of patients, and the provider • Monitoring of patient during examination, or procedure • Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent paramedic duties • Maintain patient care areas • Stocking and ordering of supplies as needed, and maintaining clean exam rooms • Charge and code supplies, medications, and procedures • Respond to patient's concerns in person or by telephone while simultaneously documenting the problem • Maintains patient confidentiality •Administers medications and IVs per physician’s orders • Perform a variety of preliminary procedures, including phlebotomy, injections, throat cultures and more South Shore Health is a not-for-profit, charitable health system offering primary and specialty care, hospital care, home health and community care, emergency and urgent care, and preventative and wellness services. Requirements

  • EMT-P Current Massachusetts Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Licensure
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Team Player
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ACLS (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
  • Emergency Medical Services EMT Paramedic - Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) - Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS)
  • INSTRUCTOR- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
  • INSTRUCTOR- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
