About The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team at our urgent care facility in Mandeville, LA. The RVT will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients and assisting our veterinarians in diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions. This role is critical in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care in a fast-paced environment. The RVT will work closely with veterinarians and other staff members to ensure that all medical procedures are performed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. This position requires flexibility, as the RVT will be expected to work weekends and holidays as needed. In this role, the RVT will assist veterinarians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, perform laboratory tests and analyze results, administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor patients during surgery and recovery. The RVT will also provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, assist with radiology and ultrasound procedures, and communicate with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans. Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations are also key responsibilities of this position. The RVT will play a vital role in the overall operation of the urgent care facility, contributing to a positive and supportive environment for both patients and staff.
