Key Position Details: 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two-week pay period) 6/12 combo hours, day/evening shifts Every other weekend Holiday hours vary Schedules will repeat every two weeks Urgent Care Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-8pm & Saturday and Sunday 8am-8pm This position is a mixture of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The employee will be scheduled at the Apple Valley location but at times will be expected to float to other Urgent Care locations if needed. The employee would need to be available on the days and hours of operation at the sites. Rotating, 2-week schedules: Week 1:, Monday 745a-815p, Tuesday 745a-815p, Friday 745a-815p Week 2: Saturday 145p-815p, Sunday 145p-815p, Friday 745a-815p Job Description: Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient’s care needs. Treats patients who are suffering from trauma, injury or severed medical conditions that require urgent treatment.

Requirements

• Associate's or Vocational degree in nursing
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required
• Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
• ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
• ◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• 1 year of urgent care experience or 1 year of emergency department experience

Responsibilities

• Assessment Collects, prioritizes, and synthesizes comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Collects and prioritizes data in a systematic and ongoing process that involves the patient, family, other health care providers and environment as appropriate.
• Integrates data relevant to the situation to identify needs, patterns, and variances.
• Uses appropriate evidence-based assessment techniques and instruments in data collection.
• Implementation Implements the identified plan.
• Implements interventions in a safe, timely, appropriate manner.
• Utilizes evidence-based interventions and treatments specific to the diagnoses as appropriate.
• Coordinates implementation of the plan of care if appropriate Documents interventions according to documentation guidelines.
• Evaluation Evaluates the patient’s progress towards attainment of the outcome.
• Evaluates the patient’s/family’s understanding of and response to the plan of care.
• Utilizes systematic and ongoing assessment data to revise diagnoses, outcomes, and the plan of care.
• Involves the patient, family, and health care team members in the evaluation process when appropriate.
• Documents revisions in diagnoses, outcomes, and the plan of care according to documentation guidelines.
