About The Position

The Urgent Care RN Part-Time position at Optum NV in Las Vegas, NV, is designed for a registered nurse to provide and monitor quality patient care in a critical care environment. Requirements

• Current, unrestricted NV RN license or temporary NV RN license with the ability to obtain permanent NV RN license upon expiration of temporary NV RN license.
• BLS / ACLS certification.
• PALS certification (upon hire).
• 2+ years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting (ER, MED/SURG, Critical Care, Urgent Care).
• Proven excellent IV skills.
• Proven ability to read and interpret Cardiac Telemetry rhythms.
• Proven ability to develop and implement a plan of care based on assessment skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate medical care with provider and appropriate team members.
• Proven multi-system assessment skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience charting in EMR.
• Demonstrates initiative towards problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam, notes and documents responses to interventions, and confers with Provider.
• Anticipates provider needs for patient exam or treatments, such as setup for pelvic exams or minor procedures.
• Ensures provider is assisted with in-house procedures.
• Provides clinical intervention such as drug administration, treatments, IV therapy, and procedures as ordered by provider.
• Initiates clinical follow-through for patient care services, including lab, x-ray, pharmacy, referral, and telephone communication.
• Delegates and assists co-workers with duties, including floating to other areas as needed.
• Responsible for compliance requirements such as laboratory QC management, waived testing, maintenance of crash cart, and narcotic count.
• Maintains required licensure and certification.
