About The Position
The nurse will assist in initiating care in the Urgent Care setting under the direct supervision of the provider. Responsibilities include patient intake, assessment, point of care testing, administering provider-ordered treatments, discharges, and patient education. The role requires assessing and treating patients in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care environment, obtaining and documenting medical histories, medications, and allergies within the EMR, and assisting providers in various urgent care procedures. The nurse will also maintain and stock all rooms and supplies, return patient phone calls, and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality. Additionally, the nurse will assess personal and learning developmental needs, participate in staff meetings, and work cooperatively with co-workers while providing service excellence to all patients and visitors.
