About The Position

The Urgent Care Registered Nurse (RN) at St. Luke's provides essential nursing care to patients in an urgent care setting, focusing on both acute illnesses and occupational health needs. This part-time role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of nursing practice are maintained. The RN will also engage in professional development and contribute to unit-based performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience in occupational medicine and urgent care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential medical care to both urgent care patients and occupational health patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of procedures and assist physicians as needed.
• Implement, evaluate, and document patient care interventions according to care plans.
• Maintain awareness of unit budget and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Function as a professional role model and resource for co-workers and students.
• Develop, evaluate, and adjust staffing based on patient care needs.
• Facilitate staff education activities, including orientation and skill reviews.
• Conduct customer service activities and handle complaints from patients, families, and staff.
• Assist with management functions on the unit and manage daily operations within budget parameters.
• Perform systematic assessments of all assigned patients and formulate collaborative care plans.
