About The Position
Outpatient Urgent Care clinic Wide range of Urgent Care cases from minor trauma and orthopedic injuries to altitude-related illness and seasonal infections Average 20-25 PPD Schedule and shift times are negotiable Clinic hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00a-7:00p and Saturday-Sunday, 9:00a-1:00p No Holidays required Potential for ongoing coverage year-round Patient Population: All ages
Requirements
- Active Montana licensure
- Board certification
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1-year Urgent Care experience or equivalent
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics)
- Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program
- Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Montana
- National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP])
- Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Montana
- National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- While specific requirements may vary, most locum APP positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
- Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.
- Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
