About The Position

Under the supervision of the Families Forward Access and Community Outreach Supervisor, will help coordinate and supervise portions of Families Forward Intensive Crisis Stabilization Services which may include Urgent Care, PSP and other positions within Access and Crisis Services. Provides leadership in further development of ICSS, utilizing a strength-based, family-directed philosophy. Responsibilities include direct clinical and administrative supervision, program planning and management, staff evaluations and linkage with CMH programs, community agencies, and other providers. Provides leadership in the implementation of programming, coordination of hospital discharges. Will support Mobile Crisis dispositions and triaging. Will provide back up to crisis services dispositions and evening coverage. May provide occasional direct services to access and crisis service consumers.   Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited college/university is required.
  • Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required.
  • At least three years of post-graduate clinical experience providing mental health services to SED children and families is required.
  • At least one year of work experience in a lead position or progressively more responsible position is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally is required.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with internal and external providers required.
  • Must be philosophically committed to community-based treatment and have strong advocacy skills.
