Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a position (32 hours per week) in our Urgent Care Department for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. NP/PA Responsibilities, but are not limited to: The advanced nurse practitioner provides primary health care in the family practice realm by developing the role as the care provider and coordinator, educator, and consultant. The nurse practitioner functions to provide continuity of care, coordinates referrals, and ensures comprehensive health care of patients according to their needs through prevention, treatment, symptom management and education. Hours will include every Sunday 1p-5p, 2 weekdays 7a-7p and every 7-8th Saturday morning 8a-12p. Floyd Valley Healthcare has had a rich history of serving the healthcare needs of people in Le Mars, Iowa and the surrounding communities. Today Floyd Valley includes the hospital, family medicine clinics in Le Mars, Marcus and Remsen, and public health. We serve people in their homes through home health and home medical services. Floyd Valley Healthcare is licensed by the State of Iowa, affiliated with the Avera System of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and is a member of the Iowa and American Hospital Associations. Requirements

  • Iowa Mandatory Reporter training within six months of employment.
  • BLS certification within six months of employment AND current certification maintained throughout employment.
  • Current licensure as an RN in the state of Iowa required.
  • Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the ANA Credentialing Organization, and the Iowa Board of Nursing, A.R.N.P.
  • Current ACLS certification.
