About The Position

The Urgent Care Advanced Care Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) at Denver Health Medical Center is responsible for providing direct clinical care in an urgent care setting. Requirements

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• 1-3 years of related clinical experience preferred.
• CSRC-Controlled Substance Regulation Certification - DEA required.
• BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
• NP or PA License in Colorado.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and evaluates medical condition of patients and makes treatment decisions under physician supervision.
• Determines and assesses the health status of patients through comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations.
• Orders and administers appropriate medications and performs or directs screenings and diagnostic tests.
• Completes required documentation and maintains accurate patient records.
• Participates in the clinical education of healthcare students as directed by supervising medical staff.
• May perform lead work and manage clinical coordination or special projects as necessary.
• Attends administrative staff meetings and utilizes effective communication principles.
• Follows established departmental policies and procedures, including quality improvement and safety standards.
