About The Position

General Summary: This position works under the direction of the Utilization Review & Records Compliance Director. Serves as a back-up for the Records Compliance Coordinator, and Utilization Review Coordinator. Maintains record compliance by utilizing the electronic medical records system, including document library, record requests, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal skills; ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, licensed associates and the general public
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Basic understanding of calculation of figures for use in patient statistics and accounting and billing procedures; reasoning ablity
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • General administrative experience and knowledge of a variety of intermediate to advanced computer applications required.
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Administrative experience in the medical field and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Scans paper records into client ECRs (Electronic Client Record) as necessary.
  • Files paper document for active and discharged clients.
  • Facilitates the admission process by assigning staff relationships, caseload, groups and scheduling shift observations.
  • Maintains current patient information including staff relationships, guarantors, custody information, demographics and contact information.
  • Serves as a back-up for the Records Compliance Coordinator and Utilization Review Coordinator during leaves of absence, or when workload dictates necessity.
  • Plans, organizes, records and maintains accurate and timely reports as required.
  • Completes any additional duties assigned by Utilization Review & Records Compliance Director.
