UPW/IWT Piping Sr. Technician - Welder The Sr. Technician: Knows how to prioritize daily tasks Able to work with little to no supervision on new projects or assignments Must have good understanding of equipment/processes Should demonstrate adaptability Effective communication skills to communicate with customer and supervision Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) and Industrial Wastewater (IWT) team is responsible for providing continuous, safe and high quality utilities to our Fab. At our water and wastewater plants on the Samsung Austin Semiconductor campus. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent and technical school certification preferred (State Plumbing License or equivalent) Typically requires 5+ years of experience Required Skills and Abilities Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment As directed, assembles pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment Extensive knowledge of Poly Pro/PVDF piping and welding Ability to read and understand prints Diagnose piping issues and correct in the field Applicants must be legally able to work for ANY employer in the United States. Working Conditions Potential to frequently work with and be exposed to materials which contain hazardous chemicals Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include weather, heat, and humidity May have to work in a clean room May have to position oneself in a tight fitting, FAB environment May be required to support and/or work shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environment Computer ‑ Based Work & Technical Proficiency - The role involves extensive use of computers for data entry, documentation, analysis, and internal communication. Candidates must be comfortable and proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, etc.) and able to learn new office applications quickly. - Familiarity with enterprise CMMS (Computer‑Aided Maintenance Management System) software and Confluence is required for daily task management, issue tracking, and collaboration. Requirements
