About The Position

UPW/IWT Piping Sr. Technician The Sr. Technician: Knows how to prioritize daily tasks Able to work with little to no supervision on new projects or assignments Must have good understanding of equipment/processes Should demonstrate adaptability Effective communication skills to communicate with customer and supervision Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) and Industrial Wastewater (IWT) team is responsible for providing continuous, safe and high quality utilities to our Fab. At our water and wastewater plants on the Samsung Austin Semiconductor campus.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and technical school certification preferred (State Plumbing License or equivalent)
• Typically requires 5+ years of experience
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment
• As directed, assembles pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment
• Extensive knowledge of Poly Pro/PVDF piping and welding
• Ability to read and understand prints
• Diagnose piping issues and correct in the field

• The role involves extensive use of computers for data entry, documentation, analysis, and internal communication.
• Candidates must be comfortable and proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, etc.) and able to learn new office applications quickly.
• Familiarity with enterprise CMMS (Computer‑Aided Maintenance Management System) software and Confluence is required for daily task management, issue tracking, and collaboration.
