Upper School Writing Summer Teacher
About The Position
We are currently searching for Upper School Writing Teachers for our Summer Program! Estimated hourly range: $50.00 - 59.00 (Rate is dependent upon sessions worked, subject to change due to enrollment changes) Must be available to work the following dates: Training Dates: June 11th - 12th Enrichment Writing Courses: June 15 - July 24 Session One: June 15 - July 2 Session Two: July 6 - July 24 Summer programs at Harker include a wide variety of academic and recreational offerings. We offer an academically focused TK - 5 Summer Camp; the Summer Institute for Middle and High School-aged students; and our English Language Institute for international students. In addition, the teacher shall be responsible for maintaining the physical and emotional safety of the students.
Requirements
- Minimum - Bachelor's degree
- Must have a valid teaching credential, a graduate degree in education, and/or prior teaching experience
- Ability to create and communicate well-organized, meaningful, and creative lesson plans that incorporate teaching strategies in a thoughtful manner to further and maximize student learning
- Demonstrated collaboration, collegiality and organization
