The job will include math classes at the 9-12 grade level and could include other roles, depending on the candidate. Exemplify the school’s mission and vision to all stakeholders. Have a relationship with the Lord that includes active membership in a local church. Accordingly, every employee must be morally upright in public and personal life. Support the core beliefs held by the school. Employees will lead in dress, conduct, and attitude. Assist in promoting good public relations by addressing the needs of all stakeholders kindly, patiently, and efficiently. Understand and maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive information. This includes but is not limited to student, administrative, and financial information. Communicate and collaborate positively with administrators, faculty, staff, volunteers, parents, and students. Be detail-oriented, well-organized, and self-motivated, able to work under tight deadlines and structure. OBJECTIVES : The teacher has a relationship with the Lord that includes an active membership in a local church. Accordingly, each teacher must be morally upright in public and personal life. The teacher will support and teach the core beliefs held by the school. The teacher will lead in dress, conduct, attitude, and intellectual pursuit. The teacher will maintain a classroom environment that models Christ-like interaction and positively promotes student development while inspiring a love of learning. The teacher understands that as ambassadors for Christ, students are his or her first ministry. The teacher will use innovative teaching methods, implementing critical thinking strategies. Lessons will contain hands-on, interactive activities incorporating technology using both iPads, laptops, and the Promethean Board. Instruction and assessment will be differentiated to challenge each student appropriately. The teacher will conscientiously provide accommodations to students with identified learning challenges in consultation with the school’s learning specialist. The teacher is responsible for finding ways to educate all students, and it is the teacher’s duty to participate in professional development activities that foster this responsibility. Practices such as differentiated instruction, data-driven instruction, and identifying areas of weakness in students are crucial to developing the quality of classroom instruction. The teacher will consistently communicate expectations and progress to students and parents. The teacher will incorporate a variety of methods to communicate, including conferences, phone calls, and email. The teacher will proficiently use Renweb as a tool to track attendance, document behavior, and post lesson plans and grades. The teacher will participate and initiate collaborative efforts between teachers of all departments. The teacher will support and participate in school-wide activities, particularly those pertaining to their students’ involvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with Math-related training or experience.
  • Active membership in a church community.
  • Completed FBI fingerprint clearance.
  • Demonstrates personal self-discipline and is adaptable and flexible in routine and unexpected situations.
  • Has skills in communication, initiative, creativity, and problem-solving.
  • Able to work in a team setting.
  • Complete a personal statement of faith.
  • Ability to use all applications of the FACTS/RENWEB platform.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
