About The Position

Rye Country Day School is seeking a full-time Upper School Mathematics Teacher to join the faculty starting in August 2025. Requirements

• Master's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education required
• 3-5 years of experience teaching in an Upper School setting
• Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills
• Ability to support the extra-curricular life of the school
• Genuine excitement for and ability to work with students, employees, and families

Responsibilities

• Teach four Upper School sections of Mathematics
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop a dynamic curriculum that fosters a love of math and builds students' critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills
• Develop daily lessons that produce a high-level of student engagement in a student-centered environment
• Grade student assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback of their work
• Regularly write reports that evaluate student performance and demonstrate knowledge of students' experiences
• Participate in faculty and departmental meetings, field trips, special activities, and rotational duties
• Seek out and participate in professional growth opportunities embracing a growth mindset
• Serve as advisor to a group of Upper School students
