Harvard-Westlake School seeks an Upper School Academic Support Specialist to join the Learning Center for the 202627 school year. This full-time position, beginning in August 2026, supports students in grades 1012 in cultivating effective learning habits, strengthening academic skills, and fostering independence within a rigorous college-preparatory environment. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of learning differences, current and accepted brain research and methodologies, and evidence-based academic interventions. They are skilled in supporting students across the writing process and demonstrate cultural competency in their work with students, families, faculty, and other stakeholders. The Learning Center supports students with a wide range of learning profiles and works collaboratively with faculty, counselors, deans, and families to promote academic growth, self-advocacy, and independence. Members of the Learning Center team play a vital role in helping students build skills, confidence, and strategies that allow them to thrive in Harvard-Westlakes academically demanding environment.
