About The Position

The Upper Elementary Teacher at Thales Academy is responsible for teaching students in grades 3-5, implementing the approved curriculum, and fostering a rigorous academic environment that promotes ethical behavior, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. Requirements

• High energy and organized with a passion for teaching children.
• Education degree is required.
• Direct Instruction or other teaching experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implementing the approved curriculum for grades 3-5.
• Providing proper pacing guides, lesson plans, and assessments for assigned courses.
• Working closely with other teammates to develop teaching skills.
• Participating in productive discussions including team planning meetings.
• Sharing curriculum and instructional expertise with colleagues.
• Engaging in offered professional development opportunities.
• Acting in a professional manner in verbal and nonverbal communications.
• Promoting communication between parents, community members, and teammates.
• Assisting in providing opportunities for parental/guardian involvement within the school.
