About The Position

This position is responsible for applying upholstery materials to furniture frames using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and special upholstery tools. Essential Duties Uses various tools to apply padding and upholstery fabric to a wood frame, completing the inside of an upholstered piece of furniture Builds pieces so cover is smooth and fits the frame properly Must be able to read and follow production tickets Must be able to line, spot match, 4-way line, tuft. Must follow all safety policies and procedures All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling and twisting throughout the day
• Frequent repetitive motions requiring grasping, pushing/pulling and fine hand manipulation
• Frequently reaching at, above, or below shoulder level
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; rarely up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Being able to nail and trim
• Ability to upholster leather and fabric furniture
• Previous upholstery experience
