About The Position

The Upholsterer position at Williams-Sonoma in Booneville, MS involves upholstering fabric, fiber, and all necessary components to upholster furniture per the specifications and Standard Operating Procedures for use on the upholstery lines. The role requires practicing safe work habits, adhering to company policies, and demonstrating professional courtesy and integrity. The operator will obtain pre-assembled frames and attach fabric and other specified components using upholstery techniques, ensuring that the finished products meet quality standards and productivity requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of upholstery experience in production of upper-end upholstered furniture manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and work with hands.
  • Experience in reading and understanding production tickets.
  • Ability to interpret simple instructions in a production manual.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Demonstrate the ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • At least 3 years' experience in an upper-end upholstery manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to speak English and understand Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Practice safe work practices and demonstrate safe work habits.
  • Adhere to company policies while performing assigned duties.
  • Obtain pre-assembled frames and attach fabric, fiber, and other components.
  • Upholster all necessary component parts to assembled frames according to quality standards.
  • Use tools such as a staple gun, scissors, and hammer to upholster furniture.
  • Meet or exceed productivity requirements of a minimum of 6 pieces per hour, with a goal of 8 pieces per hour.
