Overview This position performs routine and repetitive tasks to fit and secure material onto armatures using clearly defined and established instructions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated manual dexterity required.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions and troubleshoot problems when necessary.
• Understanding of proper hazardous waste disposal.
• Hazardous Waste Employees in this job may be required, as a function of their assigned duties, to generate or otherwise handle hazardous waste material. When determined by the supervisor that assigned duties will require hazardous waste material handling, within 6 months of acquiring this position and at yearly intervals subsequent to initial training, hazardous material training in accordance with A- dec’s Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure/Hazardous Waste Management Contingency Plan, Appendix 8 – Hazardous Waste Management Training Plan is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Glues foam to armatures.
• Forms, glues and staples vinyl to foamed armatures.
• Assembles and packages doctor and assistant stools.
• Works with assemblers and area Unit Specialists to exchange work information, both providing and receiving training.
• May train less experienced Upholsterers.
• Achieves and maintains quality and productivity standards, follows all safety guidelines, and maintains acceptable dependability level.
