About The Position

As an Upfit Technician at Wabash National, you will be responsible for performing a variety of high-level activities related to truck body and trailer modifications. This role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic issues, disassembling and reassembling truck body sections, and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently. You will work both in a team environment and independently, often at customer locations, to deliver high-quality service.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Intermediate mechanical skills/knowledge and welding experience preferred.
• Must have a current driver's license.
• Experience in truck body or equipment manufacturing repair and ability to troubleshoot with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work off scaffolding up to ten to twelve feet.

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Wabash Nationals WPO guidelines and attain all required certifications.
• Work safely and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform repairs and procedures in a safe and timely manner.
• Read the work order completely before beginning an assignment and check the VIN on the vehicle.
• Conduct mobile repair work at customer locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
