The UPF Technical Procedure Writer supports the UPF Technical Procedures Manager by managing and coordinating the technical and administrative procedure processes and tasks in accordance with Y15-232, Technical Procedure Process, and Y15-030GUD, Technical Procedure Writer's Guide. The role ensures that day-to-day activities and procedure support meet customer needs and expectations, especially during surge needs when schedules, deadlines, and plant missions may be at risk. The writer provides technical leadership and work direction in the Verification and Validation (V&V) of technical procedures to ensure they are technically accurate and formatted correctly. Additionally, the position involves maintaining a procedure database, compiling procedure data for monthly metrics, coordinating procedure process assessments, and identifying and developing procedure process improvements. The writer collaborates with engineers and end-users to research, develop, and validate procedures, ensuring they are written to a level of detail consistent with the qualifications and training of the expected users. Participation in procedure improvement activities and collaboration with various engineering disciplines is also a key aspect of the role.
