You will work within the Ground & Maritime Defense Radar Software Department on the Patriot Multi Echelon Training (PMET) Team. Patriot is the world's pre-eminent air defense system, and we are currently developing Patriot software in support of new system capabilities. We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon a workforce whose knowledge base covers the complete spectrum of modern languages and computing platforms. The successful candidate will be working onsite with a team of software engineers to develop and test new Training capabilities utilizing the latest in gaming technology.

  • Translate software requirements and specifications into logical design artifacts, development of software code, unit testing and integration of code and analysis of software defects
  • Maintain existing features and develop new features for the software using Object-Oriented (OO) methodology
  • Support generation of documentation to include: software development folders, design presentations, and problem reports
  • Determine failure root cause, develop, design and implement solutions
  • Analyze system performance vs. technical requirements, research and make SW/Systems improvement recommendations
  • Extensive interaction with other groups including Requirements, Software, Integration, and Validation engineers
  • Some off-hours activity in a software development facility may be necessary
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of experience.
  • Development experience using the Unreal Engine
  • Experience in modeling, animation, rending, and visualization
  • Programming experience in C++
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • 3D modeling and animation using Autodesk 3ds Max
  • Experience with Perforce configuration management tool
  • Demonstrable understanding of OOP principles, scalability considerations, and software development best practices
  • Knowledge of systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle and processes.
  • Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevOps and test automation
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn new technologies and tools
