KVEO (CBS 4 and NBC 23) in South Texas offers year-round opportunities for students to apply classroom theory to practical experience. Our internship program allows students to experience firsthand the reality of working in the TV/Digital broadcasting industry. Interns can test their creative talent, exercise their analytical skills, and increase their understanding of broadcasting operations and trends. Our internships offer meaningful educational and work experiences designed to meet the academic and career goals of the intern. Our management team will teach and encourage, but it's up to the student to bring the enthusiasm to learn. Because internships at KVEO are designed for learning experiences only, they are unpaid. Internships can be for digital producers, reporters, photographers, editors, and newscast producers, to name a few. They will work with producers, reporters, and other newsroom employees and receive feedback on their efforts. Station managers will oversee the internship to evaluate, monitor, and assess the intern's progress and ensure they receive the proper education/training.
