About The Position

The Unloader position at Werner Enterprises is a physical warehouse role focused on unloading tractor trailer loads of furniture and staging it for deliveries. The job requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace, effective communication with team members, and adherence to delivery processes to meet customer expectations. The position operates on a full-time schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, with working hours from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• One plus years of experience in transportation, logistics, customer product assembly, delivery of furniture or appliances, or experience with a moving company.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Able to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Speak English and communicate with coworkers and read assembly instructions.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Applications and other operational or client systems.

Responsibilities

• Unload tractor trailer loads of furniture and stage it for deliveries.
• Perform a minimum daily assembly output as provided by management.
• Report any defects or damages of parts immediately to management.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace and environment.
• Properly dispose of all waste accumulated during the assembly process.
• Interact professionally and effectively with Drive Teams.
• Use equipment properly to ensure the safety of all team members.
• Follow delivery processes to ensure customer expectations are met and/or exceeded.
• Assist the Delivery Driver in executing the placement of delivery items as specified by the customer.
• Report all customer satisfaction issues to management.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and supervisors.

• Maintain a pattern of regular and prompt attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule.
