About The Position

Centerstone is seeking therapist with experience treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Position is located at our Clarksville, TN mental health clinic and is an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team. No weekend or on call work required.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, Mental Health, or related field is required.
• One year of experience treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders required.
• Successful applicants must have passed a minimum of 24 graduate level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling or other behavioral health related classes for master's degrees other than Counseling, Social Work or Psychology.

Responsibilities

• Develop therapeutic rapport with clients - Meet with clients as scheduled to aid in development of therapeutic relationship.
• Formulate a provisional diagnostic assessment based on information presented, identify need for risk assessment (to include substance use assessments).
• Completes documentation within 24 hours.
• Provide assessment services, individual (and possibly family) therapy to those identified with substance use issues.
• Developing, writing, implementing, evaluating and revising overall treatment goals/objectives and plans per ongoing assessment of needs and input from the individual based on their identified strengths.
• Use of empirically based modalities to engage and manage their mental health or substance abuse diagnosis.
• Progress notes completed within current agency guidelines.
• Responds to supervisory request for urgent care situations and coverage for vacant caseloads.
• Keeps administrative supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the program or the organization.
