About The Position

Quanex is looking for an Unlicensed Electrician to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota. In this role you are responsible for performing electrical maintenance and repair of company equipment. You will also perform or assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and plumbing systems. Schedule: 1st Shift Monday- Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm We Offer You! Will have an impact on the success of the company Growth Potential Collaborative and Team-Oriented environment Climate controlled facility What Success Looks Like: Install new machinery, fixtures and necessary electric, plumbing and related hook-ups for the equipment to become fully operational. Work with licensed electrician to gain knowledge pertaining to earning Class A Journeyman or Maintenance Electrician licensing with the goal of earning that license. Diagnose problems and repair equipment as promptly as possible to minimize downtime. Determine repair parts and supplies as needed. What You Bring: Vo-tech electrical training program, mechatronics, robotics, construction electrician or minimum two years industrial electrical experience. Must possess own tools. Ability to problem solve and make decisions. Must have skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, schematic drawings, and ability to read blueprints. Starting rate of pay for this position is $25.25/hour, depending on education and experience.
