About The Position

Oversees the work of a group of University Security Officers; patrols the University of Hawai'i campuses, including off-campus facilities to enforce laws, rules and regulations for the protection and security of personnel and property, and to detect and prevent attempts by persons to violate the law; conducts investigations of violations, prepares reports and takes appropriate action; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Specialized Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible work experience in the enforcement of security laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the protection of personnel and property.
• Supervisory Experience: Applicants must possess supervisory aptitude.
• Guard License: Applicants must possess a current, valid State of Hawaii Security Guard License at the time of appointment.
• Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• All applicants must obtain valid First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates or equivalent within six (6) months from the date of employment.
