About The Position

The Enterprise Gateway Intern at HCSC is a ten-week paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in the Information Security team. Interns will engage with various stakeholders to understand business needs and contribute to projects while adhering to corporate policies and maintaining confidentiality. The role includes creating a final presentation to summarize the internship experience and project outcomes.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, MIS, Information Security, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer (June 2025 - August 2025).
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in application development platforms and/or languages (HTML/CSS/Java).
• Ability to assess and refine existing procedures for continuous improvement.
• Ability to interview team members to document processes and develop flowcharts.
• Ability to analyze complex problems using data from various sources.
• Knowledge of common attack frameworks and defensive capabilities.
• Interest in researching cyber-attacks and threats.
• Knowledge of hacking tools.
• Ability to create reports for metrics reporting purposes.
• Strong analytical skills and developed PC skills, especially in Excel, Word, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the internship program focusing on Information Security.
• Work with solution architects, system analysts, portfolio delivery leads, and business analysts to understand end user needs.
• Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, and Compliance Program policies.
• Maintain communication with management regarding development in assigned areas.
• Perform special projects as required or requested.
• Create a final PowerPoint presentation summarizing the internship experience and project results.
