Under the general supervision of the Director for Student Rights & Responsibilities, the University Judicial Coordinator will receive and investigate reports of alleged misconduct. The person holding this position will perform judicial investigations on behalf of Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities and provide analysis and outcomes while maintaining compliance with the California State University system-wide executive order 1098, which governs the judicial process. The Office of the Dean of Students (DOS) is committed to supporting the overall success of students by fostering the development of integrity and problem-solving skills, teaching self-advocacy and personal responsibility and helping students understand the fundamental principles of good citizenship and responsible leadership. The Office of the Dean of Students is a resource for resolving student issues, including student misconduct. Within DOS, the Office for Student Rights & Responsibilities (OSRR) is responsible for acting on behalf of the University President regarding all aspects of student discipline. OSRR receives reports of alleged misconduct relative to Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations, investigates all allegations pursuant to CSU Executive order 1098 in order to determine whether University disciplinary action is to be initiated, and determines appropriate university judicial case dispositions and sanctions.
