Ankura is looking for Summer Interns to join the Turnaround & Restructuring (T&R) team, which is part of the Ankura Turnaround & Restructuring Business Group. This group is one of seven practices focused on delivering client services across the firm. The T&R team operates in a fast-paced environment where professionals partner with clients to tackle critical issues such as over-levered balance sheets, liquidity constraints, unprofitable business units, and adverse industry conditions. Clients depend on Ankura professionals to navigate complex challenges, requiring them to quickly assess situations, develop strategic plans, and effectively execute turnarounds. As a Summer Intern, you will play a vital role within project teams, contributing to various aspects of client engagement and project delivery. In this role, you will develop a solid understanding of the bankruptcy process, financial models, statement analysis, and complex data sets to provide key insights. You will manage deliverables from pitches, presentations, reports, analyses, and summaries of research for clients and management, all under the guidance of senior leaders. Additionally, you will gain experience with financial research, including company reports, SEC filings, and various online databases. The position also emphasizes the importance of effective business communication, both electronically and during meetings and presentations with clients. Building a professional network within the industry and sharpening your knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, will be essential components of your internship experience.
