About The Position

The Universal Representative is responsible for providing comprehensive financial services to credit union members. This role involves a wide range of duties, including member transactions, loan processing, product sales, and member service. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of financial products, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, internet, and data-base management
  • Ability to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently process a variety of transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and money orders.
  • Accurately maintain member account information.
  • Balance cash drawers and complete daily transaction reports.
  • Conduct loan interviews and gather necessary documentation.
  • Process loan applications and closings.
  • Cross-sell loan-related products and services.
  • Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to member needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Assist members with account openings, closings, and maintenance.
  • Advise members on credit union products and services.
  • Resolve member inquiries and concerns.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and proactively promote relevant products and services.
  • Educate members on the benefits of various financial products.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks such as ordering checks, processing wire transfers, and resetting passwords.
  • Stay up to date on credit union policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Represent the credit union at events, conferences, and other functions as needed.
