About The Position

Universal Music Group (UMG) is the world's leading music company, committed to artistry, innovation, and entrepreneurship. We operate in recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content across more than 60 countries. We are looking for interns who are currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in the U.S. and are graduating between Spring 2025 and Fall 2027. Interns will have the opportunity to work in various departments including Analytics, Commerce, Commercial Partnerships, Copyright, Creative Sync, E-commerce, Film & TV Creative Sync Licensing, Finance, Global Administration, and more. Each role will involve different responsibilities and projects, providing a comprehensive learning experience in the music industry.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college/university in the United States.
  • Graduating between Spring 2025 - Fall 2027.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
  • Commit to 20 - 40 hours per week.
  • Understanding of statistics and analytical processes.
  • Proficient in SQL and Tableau.
  • Strong analytical skills and interest in research.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Access.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Experience with DISCO program.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Interest in Film/TV Sync space.

Responsibilities

  • Daily and weekly tracking of recent releases.
  • Identify trends in songs and albums that are driving increases.
  • Work with different teams on specific projects.
  • Focus on using various datasets to solve business problems.
  • Support with multi-varied analysis in accordance to team needs.
  • Collect, clean, and design useful dashboards for the team.
  • Assist in the analysis of social media and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Review new releases and ensure artist profiles are updated.
  • Assist with building reports to track key metrics and trends.
  • Assist with copyright data entry and song matching.
  • Participate in product design brainstorming sessions.
  • Assist with financial reporting and data analysis.
