The Universal Member Service Representative (UMSR) at Members 1st Federal Credit Union plays a crucial role in supporting branch operations and enhancing member experiences. This float position, based out of the Fogelsville Branch, is responsible for meeting and exceeding member expectations by identifying their product and service needs, fostering a member-focused culture, and collaborating with various departmental partners. The UMSR is expected to provide exceptional service, support branch growth, and ensure compliance with credit union policies, all while demonstrating strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Support all aspects of branch operations in the Berks/Lehigh Region.
  • Assist with the growth of deposits, loans, and service ratios.
  • Meet and exceed member expectations by identifying their product and service needs.
  • Foster a member-focused culture that influences the use of technology.
  • Collaborate with departmental partners to provide a seamless experience for members.
  • Provide superior service and support branch growth and service.
  • Demonstrate compliance with credit union standards and policies.
  • Perform lobby engagement and assist with member inquiries.
  • Provide coverage for other departments/functions as needed.
  • 3 years of related experience in retail, financial services, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of experience identifying and promoting products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and provide exceptional member service.
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with PCs and applicable software.
  • Spanish bilingual abilities preferred based on location.
