About The Position

South Carolina Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Universal - Financial Sales Representative to join our team of outstanding professionals at our Sunset Financial Center in Lexington, SC. Note: Universal - Financial Sales Representatives will receive an additional premium added to their base salary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of similar or related experience in a universal service and sales role within a financial service environment.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to be highly adaptable and switch between sales and service roles upon immediate notice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy and speed in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to generate new business by outbound calling and reaching out to the local community.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide superior member/customer service.
  • Ability to engage in relationship building discussions.
  • Ability to identify and anticipate members' needs and offer products and services.
  • Ability to achieve performance objectives and operational standards.
  • Ability to handle member complaints with a successful outcome.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Basic proficiency in Windows based programs.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills performing calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Navigate multiple systems to perform Sale tasks in primary role and Service I and II tasks in secondary role in person and by telephone/email.
  • Open, close, and maintain loans and a variety of accounts, IRAs, safety deposit boxes, and other products and services offered by the credit union.
  • Process monetary/non-monetary transactions, balance cash drawers, service debit cards, and perform account maintenance.
  • Process disputes/fraud and wire transfers, remove joint account owners and POD beneficiaries, service IRA accounts and safety deposit boxes, and accept/revoke power of attorneys.
  • Professionally correspond with consumer and business members and provide superior member service.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales/performance objectives and operational standards.
  • Maintain an active prospect list and correspond with members or potential members to identify their financial needs.
  • Maintain effective sales skills and in-depth product and service knowledge.
  • Refer business, mortgage, insurance, and investment products and services.
  • Assist members with various online products and services offered.
  • Handle member complaints and resolve problems.
  • Verify members' identification and ensure confidentiality of members' information.
