The Universal Banker position at Everwise Credit Union is a part-time role based in New Albany, Indiana, focused on delivering high-quality service across a range of financial services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sales and servicing of all credit union products and services, with an emphasis on building relationships and expanding the credit union's wallet share. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a high level of member service in accordance with Everwise Credit Union's Service Expectations. In this position, the Universal Banker will perform a variety of member service functions with accuracy and timeliness. These functions include cash handling, processing financial transactions, maintaining accounts, opening new accounts, operating an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM), and supporting the Member Contact Center (MCC). Confidentiality regarding member account information is paramount, and the banker will be expected to meet or exceed established referral and sales goals by actively listening to members, asking open-ended questions, and promoting products effectively. Additionally, the Universal Banker will assist in outbound call efforts, reviewing and updating prospect lists, and following up with members as part of call campaigns. The role may also involve additional retail functions such as drawer audits and vault duties. Compliance with credit union policies regarding cash handling and transaction approvals is essential, as is the ability to problem-solve effectively to ensure member satisfaction. The position may require volunteering for special projects and taking on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
