About The Position

At United Community Bank, our Mission is to serve our community members and empower them to achieve their financial goals. United Community Bank is a family-owned community bank with locations in Perham, Dent, and Frazee. Due to an internal career advancement in our Dent office, we are seeking a positive, energetic, and motivated team player to join our retail team. The hours for this role are from 8:15am-4:45pm M-F, and rotating Saturdays at the Perham main office from 9:00am-12:00pm. At United Community Bank, our full-time Universal Banker position will provide you with an opportunity to interact and build connections with our customers on a daily basis. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers/management in a professional, personable, and confidential manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The dexterity to count money and the ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information.
  • This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills, communication skills, as well as utilization of office equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience is not necessary, but previous customer service experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome customers to the bank in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments while following bank policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately balance and maintain a cash drawer.
  • Manage customer accounts, including opening and closing accounts, obtaining signatures and other required documentation.
  • Provide telephone support to include answering customer inquiries and assisting with e-services.
  • Offer customers advice and guidance on available digital and self-serve options with the goal of making banking easy, simple, and fast.
  • Recommends products and services such as mobile deposit, P2P payment, and bill pay.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of our retail banking products and services.
  • Work closely with customers to determine their banking needs and to provide individualized service by providing tailored banking solutions.
  • Practice confidentiality with customer account information, follow United Community Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to compliance regulations.
