About The Position

The Universal Banker is a versatile role that combines exceptional customer service, sales, and operational responsibilities. This position serves as a trusted advisor to clients, providing tailored financial solutions while ensuring accurate transaction processing and compliance with regulatory standards. Universal Bankers are cross-trained to support both teller and platform functions, delivering a seamless banking experience.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of previous banking experience, including teller transactions and customer service.
  • Understanding of bank operations, bank products, sales and new business development.
  • Ability to analyze client credit data and other related financial information.
  • Basic math proficiency and aptitude.
  • Dedicated and satisfactory attendance/punctuality.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong customer relationships through professionalism, empathy, and active listening.
  • Assist clients with opening new consumer and small business accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Balance cash drawers daily and detect counterfeit currency or fraudulent activity.
  • Utilize teller and CRM systems effectively; assist clients with digital banking tools.
  • Support both teller line and platform functions as needed; collaborate with branch staff to achieve goals.
  • Provide personalized solutions to meet client needs and resolve inquiries or complaints with patience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in deposit accounts, loans, credit cards, and digital banking services.
  • Refer clients to appropriate products, services, or specialists to meet financial goals; stay informed on new offerings and promotions.
  • Adhere to all policies related to KYC, AML, and privacy standards.
  • Protect client information and maintain compliance with banking laws and audit requirements.
