The Universal Banker role blends teller and personal banker duties, with time spent in each area based on branch needs. Universal Bankers build strong customer relationships and support branch growth by opening new accounts and consumer loans, offering relevant products and services, and assisting with account maintenance. This role also ensures compliance with all bank policies and state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus.
- At least one year of retail sales or similar experience; financial services experience preferred.
- Demonstrated career growth, initiative, professionalism, and sales success.
- Willingness to complete additional training as needed, including in-house or external courses.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to make a positive first impression and connect with customers while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Availability to work retail hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Comfort initiating sales conversations and resilience when facing rejection.
- Strong time management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Consistent demonstration of NBC’s core values: Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Accountability.
