About The Position

Seeking a Universal Banker Supervisor with 4 or more years of related banking experience to oversee the Universal Banker function for our Pittsfield branch. Under the direction of the Regional Universal Banker Manager, the supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the daily activities of the Universal Banker staff. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to exceptional service to both internal and external customers plus ability to lead and drive all aspects of the Sales and Service processes. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED plus additional sales and bank-related training or four to five years of related experience and/or training.

Requirements

Thorough knowledge of the bank’s products and services
Thorough knowledge of bank policies and procedures and government regulations related to the opening and closing of all types of time and demand deposit accounts
Good supervisory skills with the ability to schedule, evaluate, coach, and correct when needed, etc.
Ability to relate well to others and gain their respect
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and be a good listener
Ability to lead by example and motivate staff to meet required performance levels and Bank goals
Ability to think independently and make good decisions
Ability to take initiative and perform the job with very little monitoring
Dynamic, outgoing personality with a smile and greeting for every customer
Present a professional appearance
Ability to cross-sell the bank’s products and services
A “can-do” attitude toward meeting customer and employee needs and resolving problems
High school diploma or GED; plus, additional sales and bank-related training; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

Directly supervise all Universal Bankers at the Pittsfield facility
Demonstrate exceptional service to both internal and external customers while leading and coordinating the daily activities of the Universal Banker staff and their adherence to established customer service standards and bank policies
Develop monthly sales plan and coach assigned staff to ensure accountability for expectations.
Drive all aspects of the sales and service processes by developing and implementing plans to include calling on maturing accounts, sales leads, referrals, and other prospecting opportunities.
Function as a Universal Banker, complete Teller transactions and perform the most sophisticated, challenging, and difficult activities related to the opening or closing of various types of accounts.
Serve as a role model to staff and very effectively make referrals to other loan and trust departments.
