About The Position
The Universal Banker at Orion Federal Credit Union plays a crucial role in assisting members with their financial needs while providing exceptional service. This position is designed to promote the credit union's product features and benefits to both potential and existing members. The Universal Banker will work closely with the branch leader to achieve sales goals and will be flexible in moving among branches as required. The primary focus is on delivering excellent customer service and ensuring that all member transactions are handled promptly and accurately. In this role, the Universal Banker will greet and welcome members to the credit union, ensuring a courteous and professional interaction. They will conduct interviews with potential loan applicants and new members to gather necessary information and identify any additional financial needs. The Universal Banker will also assist in ongoing marketing campaigns and sales promotions to boost sales volume within the branch. Upselling additional credit union products during account openings and loan applications is a key responsibility, as is promoting various services such as IRAs, certificates of deposits, credit cards, and safe deposit boxes. Additionally, the Universal Banker will assist management in tracking teller referrals for sales accuracy and may cross-train in the Assistant Branch Manager role. They will also support the teller area by processing member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to multitask effectively in a typical office environment.
